After posting a new post on your blog site, it’s a good idea start promoting that particular post, not by bookmarking it in the various bookmarking sites, but by leaving comments on related posts on different rank blog sites.
This is a method I’ve been using for a while now and I’ve gotten regular traffic from various blog sites. When leaving a comment, it’s best to have a link back to that particular post. Make sure that the link is the keyword that you have optimized on the post.
Don’t know how to post a link? just type, <a href=www.example.com>keyword</a>
